FAQ
1
What is the difference between co-living and shared accommodation?
Let's start with what brings them together: in both cases, several people share the same home and choose to live under the same roof. In practice, we have two different systems. Shared housing is a lifestyle where several people live together in the same house and share the costs of housing costs, such as rent and bills.
Coliving, on the other hand, is a more specialized concept of co-housing that focuses on creating a community and with a communal lifestyle. Common areas are often larger and better developed than in a traditional shared apartment, and there are often activities organized for residents to strengthen ties between them.
Coliving can also include services like shared meals and shared work spaces. Another big difference is that coliving works in all-inclusive mode, to facilitate the installation and daily life of residents. More than that, it is already equipped to be conducive to community life: good canaps, a large kitchen, and plenty of dishes available.
In summary, co-living is more focused on sharing housing costs (with all the management that involves, you have to like math, you're not going to hide it), while co-living aims to create a community and strengthen social ties between residents.

Why live at Roof?
The first big advantage, let's be honest, is financial. Doubly even. Coliving allows you to save money, since everything is included, even insurance or internet, you have an investment that will be lower in total than a conventional shared apartment.
And beyond that, it keeps all the original advantages of the roommate, including the biggest one: being cheaper than a personal studio because the costs are divided between several people. That's for the bank account, but money does not bring happiness by itself. We want to point out that Roof is above all a solid community and a living environment made for that.
In our Roof, we don't make any concessions on design that's what you can see on Insta, oh the beautiful furniture and modern equipment, but above all, we create living spaces, that's what our residents tell us. And that makes us really happy because we put a lot of our energy into activities and places that promote good times between you. We think that the world is a giant community that is much more united than what is said on the news and we are happy to share this state of mind in our Roofs.
3
What is the type of lease?
It's a furnished lease.
4
What does the monthly price include?
Everything you need is within reach, from the refrigerator to the dishwasher, to the washing machine and the dryer, not to mention the oven, the dishes and unlike a traditional shared apartment, everything is included in the basic rent:
- The Rent
- weekly cleaning of common areas
- expenses (electricity, water, gas, intern and your home insurance)
- a support service available on a daily basis
So no admin, because for us a life without an admin is already a successful life 😉
All our residences are fully furnished and equipped with carefully selected furniture and stylish decor. As for furniture, everyday life will be quite comfortable: hotel-quality beds, spacious storage, a real desk to work in your room in a quiet room, a large table for meals all together or on the go, and especially a mega sofa because it is the basis of any self-respecting place.
We wanted you to feel at home, not in a soulless student residence, so the style is welcoming, cheerful and authentic, but look at the photos it's the most telling! In terms of equipment, all the utensils needed to prepare good small dishes, or rather good large dishes.
5
Can I get the APL if I am in a Roof residence?
Good news, you may be eligible for housing assistance in a Roof residence, depending on your file! Your rights are the same as if you took a studio or a roommate.
6
What documents are required to book?
Everything is done immediately online quickly, without big files. You only need two documents:
- An identity document
- A guarantor if necessary or visual guarantee
