What is the difference between co-living and shared accommodation?
Let's start with what brings them together: in both cases, several people share the same home and choose to live under the same roof. In practice, we have two different systems. Shared housing is a way of life where several people live together in the same house and share the costs of housing expenses, such as rent and bills.
Coliving, on the other hand, is a more specialized concept of shared living that focuses on creating a community and with a communal lifestyle. Common areas are often larger and better developed than in a traditional shared apartment, and there are often organized activities for residents to strengthen the bonds between them.
Coliving can also include services such as shared meals and shared work spaces. Another big difference is that coliving works in all-inclusive mode, to facilitate the installation and daily life of residents. More than that, it is already equipped to be conducive to living in community: good sofas, large kitchen, and plenty of dishes.
In summary, roommates are more focused on sharing housing costs (with all the management that this involves, you have to love math we're not going to hide it), while coliving aims to create a community and strengthen social ties between residents.

Why live at Roof?
The first big advantage, let's be direct, is financial. Doubly the same. Coliving allows you to save money, since everything is included, even insurance or internet, we have an investment that will be lower in total than a conventional shared flat.
And beyond that, it keeps all the original advantages of a roommate including the biggest one: cost less than a personal studio because the costs are divided between several people. That's for the bank account, but money alone does not make happiness, we want to point out that Roof is above all a solid community and a living environment made for that.
In our Roofs, we make no concessions on design that's what you can see on Insta, oh the beautiful furniture and modern equipment, but above all, we create living spaces, that's what our residents tell us. And that makes us really happy because we put a lot of our energy into activities and places that promote good times between you. We think that the world is a giant community that is much more united than what is being said on the news and we are happy to share this state of mind in our Roofs.
